Get into the festive spirit in Bremen from 29th November to 23rd December 2012. The city's fabulous Christmas market is held on the historical market square surrounded by the town hall and Roland statue.
Bremen Christmas Market is one of the most popular in Germany. Between the town hall and the Bremen Town Musicians, the Roland statue and the Guild Hall, an enchanting village of stalls and carousels arises.
Children especially have a lot to look forward to: Father Christmas will read a story every day at 3.30pm and then, with the help of well-known locals, hand out presents to well behaved children. And at 5pm daily, the children can meet the Bremen Town Musicians personally and the watch the fairy tale acted by the Ernst Waldau Theatre cast on the Hanseatenhof square. But it’s not only children that have something to look forward to: on the long shopping night on 03 December, all shops in the city centre and the Christmas Market will be open until midnight.

The Weser promenade invites you to a wintry, historic and maritime market. As the sun goes down, the Schlachte embankment is immersed in blue light and the ships glow with festive lights. Schlachte Zauber also has a variety of concerts, theatre performances and other events lined up.
