I'd like to introduce a guest invite for our blog, a dear friend and former highschool mate, but also a partner for Card-Photo. Her name is Oana Rotariu, a very talented writer and a special person, thoughtful and insightful, but also life loving and contagiously exuberant, despite all the hardships of life that she had to surpass.

Anniversary Exhibition

The exhibition at Gruner + Jahr Publishing house shows 55 images of expeditions and reports from 1888 to the present. The images are taken by Steve McCurry, Carsten Peter, Emory Kristof, Chris Johns, Jodi Cobb, David Doubilet, Annie Griffiths, Paul Nicklen, Joanna Pinneo, Norbert Rosing, and many more.

I did not imagine my trip to Leipzig as it actually happened. I was curious to see the hometown of Bach, although I am not a big fan. I imagined Leipzig as a city dominated by the memory and footprints of Bach.

I never saw a real mariachi. I only heard about them in movies or in the books I read in childhood. But where are they nowadays ? Did they disappear ?
